The Thin Blue Line

Welcome to TRBL Movies.  Everyone has a favorite movie that they know is awful, might be embarrassed to tell anyone they enjoy it, but they love it anyway.   Our goal is to free you of this embarrassment, and instead learn to revel in the glory of these terrible movies.  We became free of this burden long ago, and with great freedom comes great responsibility- so we feel responsible to share the best of the worst movies with you.

Now, as the cutoff on what constitutes a terrible movie, we have created the Blue Streak Line.  Just like the Mendoza Line in baseball separates pure incompetence from mediocrity, Blue Streak (36% on Rotten Tomatoes) defines the borderline.

Case in point: the clip below.  It definitely seems like it's another purposefully terrible Martin Lawrence movie, but then you realize it also stars Chappelle and Luke Wilson, and you're rattling off quotes more than that guy who saw Anchorman a year later than everyone else and feels like he has to quote double-time to catch up.  We'll go into the film more in-depth later on, but for now, we'll just accept 36% and under on Rotten Tomatoes as the criteria for a bad movie.
